Friday, April 12th, room 225: Join Professor Nancy Hauserman of the Tippie College of Business, and graduate of the Iowa College of Law, as she gives the Katherine Finn Milleman Memorial Lecture at 12:30pm and the Katherine Finn Milleman Law Award is presented. Professor Hauserman’s lecture will focus on her personal experience working in an alternative legal career. 

The Belle Babb Mansfield Conference on Women in Law will follow at 1:20pm. This conference will feature a diverse panel of female practitioners and academics focusing on the topic: Having it All: Modern Career-Life Balance. Panelists include our own Professor L. Song Richardson; Cathy Pugh, Development Director of United Action for Youth; Felicia Bertin Rocha, owner of the Bertin Law firm; Mindy Olson, Vice President of Paulson Electric; and Elisabeth Reynoldson, Assistant Iowa Attorney General, Criminal Appeals Division.

A reception will follow in the 4th Floor Student Lounge. Business attire is recommended, although not required.

We have signed up for a slot to volunteer at the Johnson County Crisis Center on Friday, February 8 from 1145-3pm. For those of you who have not yet had an opportunity to volunteer there, we work in the food bank bagging food and restocking shelves during peak hours. It is a wonderful way to get involved in the community and earn Boyd Service Hours.
