Every Friday, COL students volunteer at the Crisis Center of Johnson County Food Bank. Our volunteers come from many student groups including, Organization for Women Law Students and Staff, Iowa Law Review, Phi Delta Phi, Equal Justice Foundation, Journal of Gender, Race and Justice, and the Outlaws. After receiving their initial training, students dedicate three hours to stocking shelves, client check out, facility cleaning, sorting food, and taking inventory.

“Each year the students never cease to amaze me with their flexibility, empathy, and willingness to do whatever task is asked of them. It has been a huge help for The Crisis Center to have them as volunteers each Friday,” says Stefanie Bell, Food Bank Coordinator.
