The 2012 Equal Justice Foundation Annual Public Interest Auction is slated for Friday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Coralville Marriott. Through this event and others, the Equal Justice Foundation raises money to fund living expenses and stipends for students interning with public interest organizations each summer. The Auction is open to students, faculty, alumni, and their guests. The silent auction begins at 7:00 pm with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The live auction is at 9:00 pm.
Tickets are sold at the law school for $10 per person until noon on Oct. 12. Tickets also are available at the event for $15 per person, and if interested bidders cannot attend, a proxy bidder can be arranged with Rachel Zander (email@example.com). A catalog of auction items is available at: http://www.law.uiowa.edu/documents/2012_EJF_Auction_Catalog.pdf
The Auction thrives on a wide variety of donations from faculty, students, alumni, and community members. Donations include themed baskets, artwork, lessons (from foreign language to shooting), home-cooked meals, event tickets, gift certificates, and more. Donations are welcome until October 12. Please contact Jesse Sheedy (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information or to arrange a donation.
