WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO: The Student Life Committee focuses on improving students’ experience at the College of Law. While this is a broad definition, it encompasses two major subcommittees; however, the Committee Chair may choose to raise any other issues pertaining to student life. Some of the areas we seek to improve are:
- Building Services, Parking & Technology: Building Services is responsible for the physical facilities, the parking lots, and technology within the building.
- Diversity: Diversity works to foster diversity within the law school and in the community. Its aims include increasing diversity at the College of Law, promoting orientation diversity activities, career service diversity fairs, the MLK Day Speaker program, and promoting the College of Law to minority applicants. The Diversity Chair shall sit as the Chair of this subcommittee.
- Mental Health: This subcommittee will focus on improving and maintaining mental health and mental health awareness at the law school. It will create programs and materials to do this, and will work closely with the Dean of Students to address any issues pertaining to mental health.
