Information Guides to Judicial Retention Ballotting Published

The Iowa Judicial Branch has issued an on-line document in which Iowa voters can find information about the professional qualifications and background of every judge on the November 6th retention ballot.  The guide also answers questions about the retention ballotting process. It can be read here. The Iowa State Bar Association (ISBA) has also released the results of the Judicial Performance Review that evaluates the 74 judges and justices up for retention.  It can be read here. The ISBA’s press release that accompanied the results stated, “results … demonstrate why Iowa courts are consistently ranked in the top five state courts in the nation.”
