Volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity Restore this Spring!

Habitat for Humanity Restore—an important part of the Habitat family that sells donated home items and building materials at discounted prices in order to fund the Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity—needs 1L, 2L, and 3L volunteers to help as “Greeters” and “Loaders” at its Iowa City location this spring.  Greeters will welcome customers into the store, hand out tape measures and brochures, answer customer questions, and assist customers with the store layout.  Loaders will assist Restore staff with unloading donations and assist customers with loading purchases.  Loaders must be able to lift 50lbs or greater and walk a short distance.  Students who want to volunteer on a more regular basis can volunteer as a member of TEAM Restore.  In order to qualify for this opportunity, volunteers must commit to volunteering twice a month in a three-month period for a total of 12 hours.  All volunteers must complete an orientation before they can begin volunteering.  Interested students should contact Michelle McMillan at 319.337.8949.
